What is the one thing that makes every single wedding less stressful, more beautiful, and better than you could have imagined it? TRUST.
Gillian and Clark's wedding was a true testament to the magic that can happen when a couple trusts their vendors, especially their wedding planner. From the start, Gillian had a vision of having an intimate wedding dinner in the greenhouse at Shelldance Orchid Gardens, but due to very limited space and plants everywhere, she didn't know how guests would flow through the space and how to fit tables large enough for the family style dinner she was envisioning.
After our initial call, Gillian gave me her full trust and allowed me to take the lead on choosing vendors that I trusted and felt confident in collaborating with. Due to the unique challenges that the space presented, it was so SO important to build a vendor team of professionals that had experience with unconventional venues and that could bring a team of seasoned servers/assistants/freelancers with them to help execute the vision. We had about 3 hours for setup and load in and a hard out 45 minutes after the event ended!
To execute the design that I had conceptualized, we had to source rentals (tables, chairs, glassware, napkins, etc.) from 4 different rental companies. Had Gillian and Clark not trusted my vision, it would have been a hard sell to convince them that we needed the particular tables from one company and chairs from another. Had they not trusted me, they would have laughed in my face when I suggested switching up the tabletop glassware, adding yet another rental company, because the glasses I had a dream about were only offered by one (separate) company.
Their wedding was a true collaboration between hand+heart, Chelsea with Rae+Rose Floral Co., Foxtail Catering, and Tonic Beverage Catering. We all worked together to dream up the details that transformed the space. It quite literally would not have been possible without all the vendors. This was one of my most proud moments as a wedding planner and designer and I am so excited to share it with you all!
