Thanksgiving Table Inspiration

Moody Vibes for an Elevated Holiday Gathering

moody dried floral and boho arrangement on a dark thanksgiving tablescape with beige linens

Let's be honest. My love of hosting and decorating is what led me to wedding planning. Before I started hand+heart in 2015, I was the friend that had elaborate tablescapes, menus for each guest, interesting florals (yes, I had a SFFM badge before I officially "launched" my business), and a food and beverage that was curated and almost always made from scratch. Thanksgiving was my Super Bowl. It was the one time of the year I could guarantee folks would show up and stay for awhile. However, as my personal life evolved (marriage, kids, etc.), so did our yearly traditions. Instead of being surrounded by 15-20 family members, my Thanksgivings have been small and intimate (usually just my immediate family). However, this year I. AM. BACK. BABY! I am finally hosting Thanksgiving dinner and cannot wait to subject everyone to Thanksgiving MY WAY. Florals, candles, lanterns, linens, recipes made from scratch, signature cocktails... you name it, I'm doing it!

For the design, I’m leaning into moody vibes—a palette rich in deep tones, lush textures, and a mix of modern and timeless elements. It’s the perfect way to bring a modern edge to the warmth of Thanksgiving traditions. Below are some images that I am drawing inspiration from this year.

Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year? Tag me in your Thanksgiving pics so I can revel in all that you create (@handheartevents). Happy Thanksgiving!
